Founded in 2002 by optician designer Joshua Matta, blur engages in the design, manufacture and distribution of eyewear operating as a licensee for sass & bide and Akira brands. bluroptix also distributes a distinct portfolio of luxury and lifestyle brands.

Our design team is led by optician-designer Joshua Matta, fusing technical know how with award winning designs. Joshua began his opthalmic career 17 years ago. Along with the distribution of many fashion brands Joshua has drawn on his creative passions and expanded the business to include the design and manufacture of eyewear, an association of adept technical design and creative passion. Fusing technical know how with the strong brand philosophy of those with which he partners. Our design process is born from the concept to sketches, drawings, renderings and prototypes, to the final product.
