Established in 1970, Linda Farrow brand of luxury eyewear rose quickly to acclaim amongst stylish Londoners and the International Jet set. Originally a fashion designer herself Linda was one of the first to treat sunglasses as fashion. Linda Farrow, the 1970’s eyewear brand beloved of Yoko Ono, was revived in 2003 by Farrow’s son. It was in one the their warehouses in London that Farrow’s son, rediscovered old models of original sunglasses created in the 70’s & 80’s by his mother. Linda Farrow produced cutting edge collections and pioneered many of the styles that remain au courant today.
In April 2003, Linda Farrow Vintage was launched and there are now three lines within Linda Farrow including Fine Jewelry, Vintage and Luxe. The cult eyewear brand also launched incredible collaborations with a dizzying array of of-the-moment designers creating frames with Alexander Wang, Dries Van Noten, Luella and Matthew Williamson to name a few, producing winningly outlandish pieces. The right pair of sunglasses can always finish a look with glamour or wit, however these designers are dreaming up eyewear that’s so chic the pieces stand as style statements all on their own.
